Jennifer gave some good info on posting just thought I'd add a couple of
thoughts. If you can keep your stirrups long and post without getting
thrown around-keep them long as it's better for your balance and aids
that's why you see dressage riders with long stirrups. Also on the
trail, switch diagonals (the shoulder you are watching) from time to
time so the horse doesn't get one sided.
