while on the topic of worms....

Since the topic of worms has been a recent topic, I will put forth my
own question of the moment: HAs anyone heard or used the following
worming pastes:
a)Benzelmin (Oxfendazole) -listed as a broad-spectrum
anthelmintic, but specifically claims to protect against "larval stage worms";
and,
b)Anthelcide EQ -also listed as broad-spectrum, but specifically
claims to protect against small strongyles.
Are these really as broad-spectrum as they advertise to be? Isn't a
worming program of Ivermectin every two months, rotated with a
Strongid -P twice a year:
[i.e. Jan. -Ivermectin
March -Ivermectin
May -Strongid-P (this is the month when my horse generally begins to
stay out at pasture with little supplements because the grass is good
enough)
July -Ivermectin
September -Ivermectin
November -Strongid-P (this is the month when the grass starts to fade
away into nothing of nutritional value as the cold/snow arrives and
the horses begin coming in at night)]

as some have mentioned, just as
broad-spectrum and efficient?
Lysane and Buck (is it time for that yucky paste again!!!)
