If a horse has arthritis the best thing for them is to keep them moving!
Chondroitin sulfate actaully seems to work. I have an 18 yr old QH who has
bone spurs/arthritis in every joint in his rh and I tried a couple of
different strategies to help him. The best plan for him is Cosequin (not the
others on the market- they did not work as well for him), vitamin c, and
unfortunately a half a gram of bute twice a day. I tried him without the
Cosequin and he did not do well. There was a definite improvement when I
added the Cosequin- I was able to lower his dose of bute. You can but Cosequin
from the producer in the U.S. - the phone number is 1-800-925-5187.-Amy
