Carol,

I have had really good luck with the CS treating my husband's Arab
gelding. He has arthritis from an old wound in his rear ankle. I started
him on the CS at the recommended rate and he has been great ever since.
Before he was getting it, he would stiffen up after a ride and really
limp until he worked the stiffness out, now there is no stiffening of
the joint at all. I don't know how it would work with your friends horse
with the bone spur. I think I would get a second opinion from another
vet.

As to where you can get it, I get mine from Springtime. It seems to be
comparable in price and really good quality. If you need the address let
me know. Hope this is of some help.
