Riding in snow is something I do since it's either that or not ride in the
winter. What has worked absolutely wonderfully is a snowball pad, wich is a
full pad that has a round raised bubble in the middle-the raised side is
toward the ground, and pin studs on the shoes. The bubble flexes when the
horse steps down and it pops the snow out. the pin studs are just enough to
allow for confident movement without too much grab. I love 'em! -Amy
