Longer wearing Horseshoes?

I have started using my 15 year old Foxtrotter for endurance rides, my =
problem is that her gait seems to eat up shoes. They are wearing evenly, =
so we are pretty sure it's gait related. The last set only lasted about =
3 weeks (120 miles or so). Besides being expensive, she doesn't get =
enough hoof growth to allow shoeing that often. My farrier can't believe =
she is wiping them out so quick, he also shoes 4 other endurance horses =
(Arabs) and none of them have the same problem.

Mostly we are riding in rocky and decomposed granite / sandy soils =
typical of southwest Idaho. In prior years, I have used shoes with =
Borium or carbide chip toes and heels, but I don't think they would be =
appropriate for the type of riding we are doing.=20

Any Suggestions?
