This is common practise among saddleseat riders (which Shatner
is), male and female. The wool in the leg of a Kentucky jodphur
will rub the inside of your knees raw on a hot, humid day
within 20 minutes. I wear them under my saddlesuit to protect
my knees. I imagine it would work for other anatomically
sensitive areas too!
