OK, here's another interesting tid bit about Morgan performance in these
sports.

Circle H Caballero--Registered Morgan gelding, 15'3 H, Black, foaled 1971.

In going
through old TMH's, I found in the July 1980 issue an article (very small)
about this horse.
Caballero was foaled in 1971, and matured to 15'3. He was
owned by Robert Manley of Carson City, NV.

His accomplishments? Well, in 1979, Caballero went through 7 one day 100
milers in endurance. It set a record with the AERC. He had 1700 miles of
completion for the year, another record that he beat by 500 miles. He won
the AERC National Mileage Championship and scored 1890 points to become
Reserve Heavyweight Champion. In AMHA, he claimed top honors in the
Endurance division. (No Kidding!)

He had good bone, not super refined, but still had Morgan typiness with the
upright neck carriage, nice Morgan head, pert little ears, great rear, nice
sized round feet.

I have been requested to do an article on this subject in more complete
detail. I was wondering if anyone from the various ride organizations, such
as AERC, ECTRA, and the others have anything on file here like some
statistics, etc . BTW---2 Morgans also ran the Race Of Champions this past
weekend. I believe one pulled, but the other finished. Am not sure of the
total results yet.
