The french team did win everything last saterday at the european championship.
They took the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place, and the team gold medail.
I didn't see the finish, too occupied with the crewing for my friend Pierre Arnould, but I was told it was gorgeous : 5 french horses arriving grouped and sprinting at full galop for the victory. Finally this was the huge black gelding Nelson who won the victory.
Italian team got the silver, german team got the bronze.
The Knavys finished at 11th and 12th place.
At the 6th place there were a Saoudi Arabian riding a leased french horse.
My friend Pierre finished at 22th place and was the only belgian rider (on 4 riders) completing the ride.
The ride was a very difficult one with lots of up/down and also their repeating loop system very bad for the spirit of the horses. Twice the first and 3rd loop and even 3 times because the finishing part used for one part this trail a third time; twice the 2nd and 4th.
There were approximately 80 riders, where 38 finished the ride.
The french team will be a hard competitor in the next World Championship. Be prepared...
