<< To the person considering the OF saddles, evaluate your horse for enough
length of back to accommodate the large surface area. It also helps if
the horse's back is relatively level (no sway backs), but the saddle can
be shimmed to assist with the fit. (Neoprene wedges placed in the
booties under the panels.) The workmanship on the saddles is
magnificent. When I got mine new, I wanted to display it in the house!
I cried the first time it got muddy. It simply glows now that it is
broke in. >>

I have a "traditional" model endurance modified OF. I second the above post!
This saddle fits my 15.2 hand Arab David wonderfully, no dry spots etc. My
horse has a relatively short back, but so far this has not been a problem--we
will see when I start endurancing. The saddle is not as good for my slightly
swaybacked, 25 year old, 14.2 quarter/arab gelding Tash. I ride him in my
english or western saddle--he is happier. Hates the OF.
The workmanship of my OF is beyond compare--I DO display mine in the house!
I avoided riding on wet days for the first several months I owned it so that
I wouldn't have to cry when it got muddy!<g> Well, I've gotton over that.
But I'm a stickler about cleaning it, which I was not so much of with my
other saddles! It is absolutely the most comfortable saddle I have ever
owned.

Trish & "pretty David" & Tash (who says, "everybody is entitled to their
opinion, and mine is, you keep that fancy, smancy saddle off my sagging
back!)
