Do horses count in this, too?

Was riding a friend's Appendix 1/4 horse -who looks completely Thoroughbred
to my eye-who are the racing Quarter horse world trying to fool, anyway?-
last evening as she is having a bit of trouble with some schooling and
wanted a second opinion. He is ready for a shoe reset-a bit long in the
front toes. Crossing a shallow ditch and up a slight mound onto grass he
stumbled over the mound, went down on both knees and slid his chin across
the grass. He scrambled up totally unconcerned and carried on. Checked
him over-not a mark.

So he doesn't make it into the Equine Emergency Room category but he is a
sure-winner in the Surfing Class. I didn't become a competitor in the E.R.
category either as his surfing was so nice and flat . Sure was a drop
though, 16 hands one moment, dark bay rug the next!
