fit my favorite horse, and one Exmoor All Purpose saddle which I learned to

We have 6 OF saddles - a Patriot, n Officer's Patriot, 2 OF Cutbacks, an
older classic Lite, and lovely Low PRofile western saddle. We love every one
of them, and use them ALL. What I saw over the years we were looking for just
the right saddles was that many Arabians are bred for the short back. Just as
was evidenced in teh show ring, Polish Arabians tend to be shorter backed
than the others. We used to chuckle over the Park horses at show - who were
more often than not Polish - and the fact that they were so short-backed that
they constantly were stepping on their own front feet with the back! Thus,
the shorter backed horses were almost always the endurance horses who had
little luck with the OF saddles. Understanding of course that a shorter lever
is stronger and its longer counterpart, one still has to put the saddle
somewhere, and so we opted for breeding into a medium-length back in our
stock. Now we can put just about any saddle on all of our horses without
trouble. Good thing, because we are spoiled rotten with the Stitchdown seat
of our OF saddles! So...any of you trying to get rid of yours - call me! :)!
