Biotin and Supplements

I'm using Dynamite's DynaHoof in combination with their vitamins. This
is working fantastically well for the 'ol TB's crumbly hooves. He's
growing the best hoof he's had since I bought him. I've cut him back
to 1/2 scoop of the DynaHoof and 1 scant scoop of the vitamins per day.

He's been layed up for a leg thing (related to his fairly nasty
off-the-track
injury) so I haven't been feeding him all that much stuff. He gets
grass
hay with a bit of alfalfa and just enough grain twice a day to mix his
meds
in. The beast was eating 22 pounds of hay per day without gaining
weight.
Well, we had about a bag of Dynamite's complete feed sitting around so I
mixed 3 or 4# into his 50# of oats and 5# rolled corn mixture just to
use
it up before it got too old. He gets less than a pound of this am +
pm... not a whole lot... so it lasts a while.

The silly beast started getting fat! I have cut his grain back further
and
cut back his hay. The only thing I can figure is that whatever minisule
amount of the Dynamite Complete Feed that ended up in his bucket morning
and night is causing him to utilize his feed a lot more efficiently.
It's
the only thing that's changed. Is that amazing or what?

The point is I'd like to reverse what I said earlier about Dynamite
complete
feed vs generic rice bran to put weight on hard working horses. I'm not
sure
the same amount (price wise) of rice bran would have made such a big
difference in the weight of this horse.
