My husband went to feed the mare one crisp November day
He intended on some riding so he took her extra hay
As soon a he bent over to set it on the grass
The mare hauled off ..... and kicked him in the ass!
She hit him with a solid smack and sent him way aloft
He came down I swear to God right in the water trough
I laughed so hard I wet my pants and most of our new deck
And fell out of the lawn chair ........I darn near broke my neck

He shot out of that water with his ears ablazing red
If he got ahold of Daisy he would surely kill her dead.
His veins popped out, his hair stood up as he looked about
Reaching for a two by four ............. to give the mare a clout
Round and round the barn they went his temper flaming hot
Out of shape, his eyes bugged out his nose arunning snot
It was a sight to see my friend I laughed until I cried
Hubby waving wood about ..... as he cursed her rotten

The mare abruptly cleared the fence into our neighbor's rye
Hubby was in hot pursuit, but couldn't jump so high
Though he gave it all he had and cleared them all but one
Woman's intuition .............. I called up nine one one
I visit him most every day and still I bite my lip
A broken arm, a twisted knee, plus a fractured hip
There ain't no way I'm telling him he's famous as of late
Our neighbor caught it all you see .......... on her Super-8.
