Why try to stop it? Use it to your advantage when ever possible. A buddy
like that can be used to get the pulse down quickly, encourage a picky horse
to eat at a vet stop, prop up a sluggish horse on the trail and all other
sorts of things .

We find that even competitors in the pecking order at home become
inseparable buddies at a ride and we then play it up. Helps some when they
are back in the pasture also.

Make the problems a way to gain an advantage.
