Hi there,
I have been following the conversation, and thought that i'd add my two
cents worth.
We live in South Africa, and are breeding Ara Appaloosas. Our Appaloosa
stallion is Toby's Warpath, what we call a foundation stallion (pure), and
we brought in a couple of Arab mares. The mares are Sahibi mares which have
been doing very well at endurance in this country. We are expecting the
first foals in November, (our Spring) and cant wait to see what they are
like. We have put Warpath to Anglo Arab mares, and have had stunning foals.
They arn't old enough to do endurance yet, but they have beautifull
movement, and we are confident they have what it takes. We have just sold a
17month colt fpr a record price in this country, but they arn't all
expensive. As far as i know we are the only breeders of Ara Appaloosas in
South Africa. In my opinion they make a very good cross, bringing out the
best of both breeds.
Happy riding, and good luck with you'r search
PS, I know that Milton Decker has used Jasper DuPaz(spel) on his foundation
mares with great success. He lives in Oregon.
