Hi Dave,

Thanks for writing. It is really a great thing to have this ridecamp with
friendly, supportive people. Even better, I just got my mare back from Dr.
Peggy's and she says she has abcesses from the stone bruising she got on
Pidgeon Mtn. Says she has been seeing alot of it this summer because we are
having alot!! of rain and there soles are very soft. She also thinks 1/2 the
horses in Fl.have a slight rotation in one foot or the other from things like
seedy toe. She does alot of prepurchase exams and sees alot of this slight
rotation. She says that if my mare had laminitis she would be in alot!!! of
pain......and she isn't. She has been moving better than ever. This was the
one thing that none of us could figure out. How could she be sound and have
laminitis at the same time? Answer...she can't!! Duh. Well I would rather
feel silly than full of grief and questoning constantly what I did wrong. And
I do feel silly and that's ok! I also now have a beautiful set of finely
crafted heart bars on her which is a nice thing to have anyway....
Again thanks so much to you and everyone else for your words and concern.
Sorry about the false alarm....although I sure am glad that's what it is!!!
