Fencing endurance horses

We are currently working on finishing our permanent horse fencing.
There's enough up now to see what it will look like. We chose Spur HTP
and white polymer coated high tension wire. It has been <very> easy to
put up and looks great. It is no maintenance (more riding time) and
very strong. (We won't talk about what a pain fence posts were on top
of a mountain!) The white fence fairly glows - very visible at night.
We will see what it looks like against snow.

Spur (& the wider, more expensive Centaur) fencing is a polymer solid
web between two high tension wires. It comes in brown, black, and
white. We are using the 4" Spur with several white-coated high tension
wires and several strands of conventional hot wire. Never needs
replacement of broken boards, no painting, no sharp edges.

The horses are watching us with great interest. Their pasture expands
by about 3 acres when the new fence is finished. (Then we start cross
fencing for 2 turnout paddocks and several grazing fields. It'll be a
while, though.)

If any one is interested in info, write me or call RAMM Fence Systems of
Whitehouse OH at 1-800-647-9598. They're the folks that we have dealt
with for this fencing. They have been more than helpful and made sure
we ordered <just> what we needed. We bought the rolls for about $0.38
per linear foot per rail averaged between the two types (Spur and
Polysafe wire). That's fairly reasonable to me. It was a rather large
chunk to lay out, though after just purchasing the farm/hay field.

It will be nice to bvring endurance horses to vet in without explaining
where each :fence accident" has left its mark.
