sounds like snake, could it have bite him twice, or two snakes?
I had one horse snake bite one time, apparently she kicked it, one fang was
stuck in her leg, assume it only bite her one time. We have had several
instances with dogs and never only one set of 'fang prints'.

Rattlesnake swells unbelievably huge and rots the skin off - - - dont know
about water snakes.
