<< All these songs of praise for Marilyn Horstmyers saddles have gotten my
attention. How much do these saddles run? Round numbers, I'm sure they
vary........ but $2000, $1000, more, less? They're leather, right?
Not synthetic? Are they more like Stubben or Orthoflex or western or
what? And can she do a good fit without seeing the horse? What's the
tree made out of? Does it flex? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks. >>

Since I just got the catalog I'll run with this one. <g> They are leather,
cost $1000 ($989 or something like that), they are more western but no horn
and she sends a moldable wire with directions for the fitting. People who
have them seem to really be happy with them. One thing I don't like is the
western stirrup fenders since I like english and to touch the horse with my
leg but someone suggested asking if she'd put biothane stirrup 'leathers' on.
Thought I'd ask. Don't remember what the tree is made of but don't believe
it flexs. I hear OF is in trouble - bankruptcy rumors. Shame - gorgeous
saddles.
