My apologies for sending digest #408 back to ride camp...don't know how that
happened. Guess that's # 1,092 mistake for this week...hope next week is
better:-).

The Back Country Horsemen of Nevada, Carson Valley Chapter and High Sierra
Chapter, along with the Forest Service finished clearing the High Trail. The
BCH will continue to work on the trails all summer. There were in excess
of 20 tress down as well as bogs to be drained, water bars to be built but
it's done in time to open the back country to any of you planning to camp
and contition out of Wolf Creek July 4 week-end. The River Trail is washed
out, Wolf Creek Trail is passable but where there were wide, shallow creeks
crossing the trail, there is now deep, narrow, fast moving streams. The
road in is open on week-ends and passable. It may be open 7 days a week
after the 28th of June if they get the work done as scheduled. Cheak with
the Forest Service out of Carson City. A ride into this country shows you
what a hit the Sierra's took this winter. Unbelieveable!

Happy Riding
Sharon
