I guess the message must be tweaked or something - the message we re trying
to convey was not whether or not the DOG enjoyed himself or was any good on
the trail - that certainly is a consideration - on one's own property. Our
statment was that regardless of how very much the dogs enjoy their out of run
experience, they have no place in public places where they could present a
nuisance or a danger to OTHERS. Honestly, that Rottie's degree of pleasure
was the furthest thing form my mind as he bore down on us, as it was with the
sweet little Jack Russell a few weeks ago that almost got hit by a mountain
bike while running away from our horses' big feet. Geez, basic survuval and
safety here, I think is the paramount issue.
