Recipes/Ideas for Cooking with single propane stove

I searched through the archives to see if this has been discussed before
but I couldn't find anything. Because this isn't specifically horse, or
endurance, related please respond to me by private email so as not to
clutter the list and make people upset. = )

I bought a single burner propane stove for use at my campsite at
*endurance races* (that is the connection to this mailing list! = ). I have
bought several cans of soups (and stews, and anything else out of a can you
can warm up on the stove) but it would be nice to have some variety in my
weekend race diet.

What are some recipes (easy of course! perhaps mostly made ahead?) or
ideas on foods/ways to cook them that are good for the chef/endurance rider
who wants both something that is ready quickly and will give energy for the
ride the following day. I guess I could just brown bag it the whole time,
but hot food is so nice while camping. I have also posted this question to
the newsgroup rec.food.cooking but I wanted to know what other people in my
same situation do.

Any ideas are appreciated!! = ) If there is a demand for one, I would be
happy to start an "endurance ride cookbook", I think it would be fun. = )

Jacqueline Mansfield and Winza, hay and grain with a water chaser are fine
for me mom!
