The "Christmas in July" ride is a first time 25/50 ride to be held at John
Redmond Reservoir just southeast of Emporia, Kansas. The trails are FLAT,
very, very little rocks, fairly wide and treed. It should be a fairly easy
ride - but Kansas in July can be hot. There will be water on the trail - if
not - we will provide tanks. You do ride very close to the lake in many
spots. Camp is easy to get to with only about 1/2 mile of gravel road.

This ride benefits the John Redmond Horse Trails and The Children's Place in
KC, MO - a child advocacy services center. The staff work with children who
are at "high-risk" for experiencing abuse and neglect and with the parents
and caregivers to inform and educate. There will be a "toy box" at this ride
for all Santa-wanna-be's". So bring a new toy and play Santa to a less
fortunate child.

Lots of awards - fun ones too - so get ready for Christmas in Kansas.
