This is a GREAT question!

I know of some instances of friends who's grey horses end up with
melenoma.... very distressing. My grey has black skin except for his
blaze/snip/lip. on these, particularly over a week of HOT direct sun, he
will burn and develope nasty scabs. The only thing I use on the pink skin
is ZINC. Yep, with sun glasses he would look like he's heading skiing, by
it cuts the sun 100%.

For the general application to the skin, I'm also interested in some solutions.
