I would not use the generic entry form for the rides that I manage in San
Diego. Since the rides I manage normally are at facilities where corrals
are available, and sometimes RV hookups, plus the availability of vegetarian
dinners, etc. it would be inadequate for my needs. Also, my release form
lists the names of the landowners upon whose property we are on (BLM, Forest
Service, private property, etc.) Also I would not like to require the riders
to wait in line to sign a separate form at check-in. At our rides, those
riders who have pre-registered and everything is complete on their entry,
simply pull their own rider packet without having to wait in a line.

I think it is a great idea to have an entry form available on the internet,
but for our rides a generic form would cause more work. I would prefer to
do a little more paper work in the beginning by mailing an entry to someone
who requested one prior to the ride, than trying to have everyone wait in
line to sign an additional form at the time of check-in.
