Swelling nearly all gone

Hey, thanks for all the responses. I do appreciate the input.

This morning (Mon. AM), i went down to feed and check on Solo and all swelling
is gone, and we did this ride on Sat. But there is a snall *bump* on the
ouside of this same front leg just below the knee. He had a "bone spur"( as
pointed out to me by Sharon Saare) on that same leg when I bought him, which
she says can sometimes just be from an old injury and possibly only cosmetic.
------Like he could have even banged it on something to get this, but who
knows. She really likes this horses conformation...but I will stay off at
least 2-3 weeks as suggested and of course call a Vet. if I feel I need to
know, which may be the case.

Can some one please explain "bone spur"? Thanks.

Oh, also...I did ice this but not until Sunday morning, and it should have
been done Sat. evening, even though I didn't notice anything then. And he is
on MSN now . This horse is not stalled, his area is about 1 1/2 acres.

Thanks,

Kathleen ( oh yeah...there's no more heat in the leg )
