My riding partner and I bought 2 new horses 1 1/2 yrs ago. We trailered them
in a standard 2 horse trailer for weeks with no problems before suddenly
something happened while we were in a left turn. The horse on the right side
of the trailer (can't remember which one it was) slipped or scrambled or
otherwise made a big, loud fuss. From that time on, each horse scrambled
when making a left-hand turn when he was on the right side of the trailer.
Right turns are fine with both horses in either position. The horse on the
left is fine with both turns, but the horse on the right side always
scrambles on left turns!! We tried only very slow careful left turns (this
resulted in a longer period of scrambling); we tried very, very, very, slow
left turns (this worked pretty well, but was impractical in traffic); we put
a butt bar behind the scrambler (this resulted in the Arab rubbing his left
hip tremendously hard against the divider and removing a palm-sized patch of
skin, haven't tried the Appaloosa with the butt bar). Finally, my brilliant
riding partner said, "Let's take out the divider." I tried it today and IT
WORKED!!. The scrambler pushed slightly against his buddy on his left and
wound up standing approximately in the center of the trailer, but the buddy
on the left didn't seem to mind.

Hope this will be of some use to others with scrambling problems. I'd say,
keep working on it, maybe you'll find a solution, as we seem to have done.
