I think it may depend on the intelligence of the horse. Not to point out
that Rebel may be deficant, but he's been twice bitten on the nose by
rattlesnakes. Each time out in pasture in Santa Margarita, Ca. on 800
acres, but close to the barn. Fortunately, both strikes were in fleshy
areas. Two years later he stepped on one at The Malibu Ride and killed
it, but never saw it or cared.

Now he fears gardenhoses. <sigh>
