This sounds like a racetrack encounter. I'll be damned--I guess you have
moron trainers in your sport too.

Here's the truth: The trainer is in your employ and is responsible for your
horse and for your desires for your horse. There are many many trainers who
will nod their heads yes while meaning "no". These folks are, in my mind,
simple thieves. In their opinion, they know so much more than you that your
thoughts and wants are there to be ignored. In the old days, the smart-mouth
that uttered "shit happens" would have been swallowing a .45 slug next.

I was born in the wrong century.
