You're right, now that I think about it, the Parelli lead rope that PP
sells through his clinics and catalog is made out of yachting rope, and
it is lovely---a nice live feel and lasts forever. I've had mine for
about ten years and it's still in great shape. But, my Home Depot
doesn't carry it, and the REI does carry mtn. rope, so I've been using
the mtn. rope. But either one works great.

P.S. Since there's a thread going on selling products on the list, I
don't mind a bit and actually like finding out what's available from
who. 99% of the time, the posts haven't been anything beyond a simple
statement "we have this and it might be an option for you". In my
pea-brain, that's closer to just another informational post, not an ad.
I do get a bit (very small bit) frustrated if the same vendor announces
the same product four or five times, but even then it's certainly no big
deal and it beats the alternative of having to search on your own
endlessly for just the right round-braided,
turquoise-blue-green-and-pink, gold-plated electric set of reins. And I
would MUCH rather have a bit more "clutter" on the list than for
good people like Roger (and many, many others) feel that are better off
lurking rather than risk getting bashed by someone with a different
opinion and far fewer manners.

Of course, just my two cents.
