Comfortable riding tights

Since we are talking comfortable riding clothes...

I had several pair of pants that I had "rode to death" by the beginning
of last season. Enough folks raved about Carrousel's padded riding
tights that I decided to try a pair - I love them!!! I never thought
that I'd find a replacement that was as comfortable as my old tights, &
these were better!

They came cotton or nylon with lycra, padded or not, with or without
stirrups and beltloops.

My husband has ridden in Miller's riding jeans, but found he was being
rubbed if they got wet (rain, horse sweat, etc.) He didn't like the
idea of riding in those "funny looking tights" - the Miller's jeans were
already a concession. I bought him a pair anyway. He broke down &
tried them after 2 raw days on a planned 5 day ride in back country. He
was hooked! (I don't mind riding behind him now, either!)

I use the cotton lycra for the extra "grip" on the saddle, but I hear
that the nylon dries quicker if you are caught in a shower. Just watch
out for those slippery pants when your Arab does a power spin in front
of an "Arab-eater".
