ridecamp@endurance.net: what to do when you stop getting mail from ridecamp

what to do when you stop getting mail from ridecamp

lately - i have been seeing some messages saying

is ridecamp still working? i have not received mail for x days.

what is likely to have happened is that if the ridecamp software
gets a certain number of "bounced" messages - or non-delivery
messages from your address in a specific number of mailings to
your address - it will unsubscribe you.

this can happen in a number of ways - most of which you have
no control over. it does not happen if your receiving machine
is temporarily down and comes back up in a reasonable length of time.

bottom line here is that if it happens to you - save the message below
and use it to resubscribe.

note - do not send the subscribe message to ridecamp.

also note that you can get the digest form to cut down
on your e-mail. if you go from regular to digest - you need to
unsubscribe from the regular - then subscribe to the digest.

if you wish to subscribe to ridecamp, you have two options:

1. The 'regular' listserve, ridecamp@endurance.net, which forwards
posts to you throughout the day

2. The daily digest, ridecamp-d@endurance.net, which compiles all of
the day's messages and sends them to you once each day.

To subscribe to ridecamp, send email to
ridecamp-request@endurance.net with a message body of subscribe.

To subscribe to ridecamp-d, send email to
ridecamp-d-request@endurance.net with a message body of subscribe.

If you wish to unsubscribe send email to the same address, but use a
message body of unsubscribe.
