Adult horses rarely have roundworms. Immunity develops with age.
Roundworms are usually only a problem with young animals, particularly foals.
(Not disputing the efficacy of your worming program, here...)

Out of curiosity--did anyone look for evidence of migratory larval
stages of small strongyles?
