As I'm getting ready for my first ever LD ride I've come up with a
question to ask you old timers. When I set up my portable fence
charger, how do I ground it? On a permanent install I'd use a copper
ground rod I guess but for a quick easy setup for overnight use, what
do you suggest I use to stick into the ground???? I'm having a
blacksmith make a stand for my my plastic cased solar charger. The
charger will attach to the metal stand via a couple of screws and the
stand will basicly be a metal post that I can drive into the ground
like a fence post. Could I use this stand as my ground? The case of
the charger is all plastic so it will not short to the metal stand.
Gotta get my fence training done soon!
