KIMBERLY PRICE (PLOUGH1@ix.netcom.com)
Fri, 7 Mar 1997 14:50:16 -0600 (CST)

I bought Mystery for $500, not even greenbroke, and 5 years old. He
was rearing up in the catch pen while I was signing the check! He was
on his way to France as someone's dinner so, I'm inexperienced (little
experience) and he is bright green, but it turned out really well and
now I have a wonderful trailhorse conditioning/training for endurance.

BUT....my next horse will be raised correctly by one of you ethical
breeders, will be handled from birth, have records of all maintenance
and I will pay more money for it.

It was a great experience training Mystery (and it continues, always,
of course) but VERY expensive emotionally and materially in the long
run. When I think of the risks I took I was pretty stupid. I do enjoy
starting and helping to start young horses now when I get a chance but
for myself, I wouldn't do it again.

BTW, thank you all for the stirrups advise...now I just have to decide
WHICH one and WHAT color!!!!!

Kimberly (&Mystery the Morab)
mellowed out on the pastures of Petaluma...
