Last Spring we had the vet out for the normal Spring check-up. The vet
wormed, vaccinated, and check their teeth. The report was that the gelding
didn't need a thing done to his teeth.

Well, the monster gelding had really been getting nasty with his mouthing
and his biting had escalated throughout the year (he always has been mouthy
gelding).

I called an animal communicator. OK, go ahead an laugh...but it was great!
The animal communicator told all kinds of things that she could not of
known. She had said that the gelding had pain on the right side of his
face and he would stop his biting when the pain stopped.

I then called the "holistic chiro/vet" who practices in Equine Dentistry in
our valley. Dr. Mack did an incredible job! The gelding had major hooks
on the rear molars - basically had TMJ and even his incisors were starting
to be mis-shapened from chewing incorrectly. Even his face was muscled
differently from right to left, which we never noticed until someone
pointed it out.

Guess what happened when he woke up after his "teeth job"? He was a new
man. He really is a nice gelding, not so much of a monster after all. He
pays more attention now, behaves himself so much better, and BEST OF ALL I
am not whacking him for biting me all the time. He still nibbles and lips
and I am still keep my eye on him - but he has improved 95%!

Typical teeth floating is probably better than nothing, but I wouldn't
waste my money on it. I'd call an Equine Dentist to use the correct tools
and do it right!
