What to Pack

In my saddle bag I carry a first aid kit, space blanket, asprin, etc. Caught
a lot of "ha, ha, ask Connie - she has e v e r y t h i n g - ha, ha."

Until the day a rider fell off - hard. I sent the other rider who was with us
for my husband, his four wheel truck, bolt cutters, chain saw, etc. I pulled
out my trusty space blanket, imobilized the arm, & offered asprin.

About an hour later, (it seemed like HOURS) - & Just before dark I told Kathy,
O.K. if they aren't here in 15 min., you are getting on my horse, & we are
getting out. At that, the welcome sound of a truck engine was heard!

She ended up at the hospital with a bad fracture of the upper arm, but warm, &
not in shock.

I'm not the blunt of those jokes anymore! I was a girl scout too!
