GREAT NEWS...
Our 6,300 signatures and donations of money/pledges over $50,000 have
finally produced positive results.

On February 25, Congressman JOHN T. DOOLITTLE (R-Rocklin, California),
conducted a press conference at the East end of "No Hands Bridge" near
Auburn, CA.

It was announced that he intends to introduce legislation which would
provide funding ($700,000) needed to repair No Hands Bridge in Auburn.
The H. R. (# TBD) will be introduced in the House of Representative next
week and will carry the short title of the "No Hands Bridge Restoration
Act of 1997". For a full copy of this proposed Bill contact the WSTF at
wstf@foothill.net or visit our Web Site at http://www.foothill.net/tevis

Rep. Doolittle said he was confident the funding request will be
included in a supplemental appropriation measure expected to be
announced in April by President Clinton. It is important that we write
Clinton requesting inclusion of No Hands Bridge funding in the
appropriation Bill.

As soon as we know the number of the Bill, we will let everyone know so
we can all WRITE OUR REPRESENTATIVES and President Clinton. This action
by our local Representative is a GREAT example of the private sector
working in harmony with the government sector. A letter to Mr.
Doolittle, U. S. House of Representatives, Washington D. C. 20515 would
be agood idea. Our hats are also off to Mr. Steven E. Anderson of the
U.S. Bureau of Reclamation 7794 Folsom Dam Road, Folsom, CA 95630-1799
for all the assistance he provided to pull this one off. YOUR
GOVERNMENT DOES LISTEN!

Thanks again for the support of everyone around the World for their help
to "SAVE NO HANDS BRIDGE".

Sincerely,

Larry Suddjian, Vice President
