This tactic is easy to prevent. Make a well-marked gate into the P&R
area; if there is not a real gate there, some sticks and flag rope works
fine. The time is taken when the horse physically walks through the
gate, whether or not a P&R team is availble at that exact moment. No
hollering is involved, nor is it recognized. If the horse is down, that
is the time; if not, he goes back out. Some rides require a penalty
time before the horse can come back in; others don't. Either way,
arguements over the time are pretty much eliminated.
