Hi Ridecampers,
We just got back to Fallon after a relaxing first day at the convention
in Reno and it's snowing in both locations. This is a weak storm and is
only expected to drop an inch or two. Hopefully, it won't scare anyone
off for tomorrow's doings.
There are about the same number of vendors as in years past, but the
crowds are down somewhat. Reno is in the shadow of the Sierra Nevada
mountains, and it's been threatening to storm all day. A lot of
Californians are probably waiting until tomorrow to cross the
mountains. NATRC's convention is this very same weekend as well.
We couldn't stay long ourselves, so we did our shopping and ran. My
new Sports Saddle is a demo, so I'll be making the trip back tomorrow to
retrieve it. Hey, now I can say I've had some very well-known riders'
rears in MY saddle! That poor thing got rode hard today...Everytime I
went by there, someone was in the middle of my new toy!! Arrgghhh!!
One of the highlights of the trip was getting to meet a lot of
Ridecampers in person. Stephanie Teeter was holding court at the
Endurance Net booth and we stopped in to meet her and pick up an EN
tee. Some of our lucky 'campers got to go to a get-together at the
dance tonight! It was a sort of impromptu thing, but sounded like fun.
I think I must be the only one left awake here tonight, so I'll hit the
sack myself....G'night all!! ~Nikki~
