I<< It's so important to pass on what you know and what you've learned.
There's a whole other generation out there who are in danger of losing our
"horse heritage" without input from the people who presently enjoy the
sport. >>>

What I found happens.. is your are perceived as 'a know it all' by the
other old timer riders. So you tend to keep quite, then your are a stuck up
old timer.. Cant win.

Like I have this jacket with TONS of ride patches miles patches etc. When I
wear it at a ride or function, it draws attention. Some have made comments
that I am bragging or 'tooting my own horn' Yeah? Whats YOUR point. I did
it..
AND I Do know SOMETHING about this sport.
Others are intimidated and are afraid to ask questions, because you may think
them stupid.

I have this Tee shirt that says "YOU HARD TO BE HUMBLE AFTER YOU FINISHED
THE OD100"

That about says' it

I will talk about this sport to anyone on any level about what I know, and I
hope you beat me at the next race or CTR. It gives me a great pleasure or
reward to see a new rider to this sport grow and become successfull.. when I
may have helped them to LEARN about it. AND not to make the same mistakes I
did.

NO ONE knows it ALL. We ALL learn at every ride. This form expands that
arena.
