That pretty much describes my first ride on a horse, not a pony. I was
10. Riding double in a Western saddle. When the saddle slipped the 8
year old owner bailed, but I didn't know any better, just stayed "on" as
"Fink" calmly jogged along.

Most stylistic dismount. On a ride with recently purchased killer-bound
14 yr old Arab mare, with 4 friends. Riding in the wild bird preserve,
Norco riverbed area. A huge flock of geese spooked out from our horses'
heels where they were concealed in the vegetation around us. My mare
reared/spun, I handily somehow did a vault dismount landing by her left
shoulder with the reins in my left hand restraining her. My friends
were most impressed. It was a complete accident. It was how we learned
the mare had cutting horse moves. She's doing LD now moving up to 50s
later this year, at 17.

Funniest "ride" had to be the unasked for sudden acceleration on a
training ride in the riverbed, from canter to gallop, popping me over
the pommel, breast collar with water bottles onto her neck. Ever ridden
the neck? at a gallop! A unique sensation; reins suddenly too long.
My Rem daughter was unperturbed, I started yelling at Cathy on the other
mare in the lead, to stop, slowly. It was hard to get back into the
saddle from the neck; my feet were still in the stirrups! Some bruises
from that one. I've since ridden the neck twice in sudden stops while
cantering bareback. Slippery girl!
