I wish all ISP's would tell their new users at signon about some folklore stories on the net:

1: Good Times; a virus spread by simply reading a message with the
subject "Good Times".
THERE IS NO SUCH VIRUS!

2: Greg Shergold, a kid dying of an uncurable brain tumor, wants to
have a record number of "get well" cards.
HE IS ALIVE AND WELL after a simple operation, but the hospital
is STILL drowning in letters.

3: Modem tax.
THERE IS NO SUCH PROPOSAL.

All these stories seem to appear in various forms in different newsgroups once or twice a year, and are impossible to kill, it seems.
