I have another question. Perhaps this is too "marginally endurance related",
so feel free to reply privately. I am considering trying a hackamore. I am
under the impression that this is beneficial to horses in an endurance ride
because they can eat/drink more freely than with a bit. Is this true or is
it not significant? My horse is currently in a D-ring snaffle. How much
control does a hackamore offer compared to that? (I would probably put >>
have you considered a sidepull? A really happy medium.
