Well I did it..and before I read all these posts about the correct type of
endurance horse..rats
This is the first horse i bought in the last 17 years.(.FASHA was 2 when I
bought her). The other two were bred from her.

I have been looking for about a year.. not real serious..just lurking sorta.
and I was waiting to see if my 11 yr old gelding would stay sound. Well we
put shoes back on , on Tues.. he was sound 2 months ago.. trotted him out to
check movement after he was shoed ..and he is lame again.. time to quit..
guess all the things and stuff did not work..and the 2 years off.. was worth
the try .. I raised and trained him. He was to be my magic horse. you know
farm bred and all that.. Well its not to be.
Tyf is done.. just one of those dumb simple trip stumble accidents we dont
think much of. His pastern joint L2 is shot.. Even has heat in it again. It
will never get well.

SO
AT the SERA Conv..I heard about this nice horse owned by a shoer..a good
shoer
near Knoxville TN.

Close enough to look.

We went up Wed.. no sense wasting time.. need to get over it.

It was one of those things .. you riders that have found that special horse
will know what I mean. I knew it when I saw him in the paddock.. I just knew
it..
We went thought the drill ..but I knew I was going to get him.

Name OMNI
BREED SHAGYA whats that? and ARAB
SIRE OMAN SHAGYA from Morgan HIll CA AMARA FARM
He has done some Endurance ..anyone know him

AGE 5
SIZE 15.2 TRUE
Color BAY white nose snip classy
BIG BOLD body but short neck ? maybe cause he is fat
Big Boned short cannon
Nice round foot size 1.5
OVERWEIGHT
Current status-owner does dressage He (Omni) is at training level..not BIG
enough

Moves GREAT, balanced I saw nothing wrong .niether did Carol. Tracks true
nice action good reach, floats
A little cow hocked, thats good
I need a larger HW horse to carry the load about 205 and as I am getting
older I need one that can carry ME for 100 miles.. sort of the Steve Roject
plan.. get off only at the vet check and the finish.

Rides smooth in the indoor arena. We went for about 20 minutes. all gaits..
Even could do some moves with him.. He did respond well to a new rider. Guess
the Center Riding methods by Donna Synder Smith worked ok .. We got along
just fine
Look out NATRC this boy can sidepass allmost hehehe :>)

So we get him Friday.. I bought him with out a vet check.. I know these
people, he used to shoe my horses. They had this boy from a 1 yr. Did all the
work on him. His 20 year daughter did it.. a nice job. Sometimes you just
have to go with the flow

And the price ..well below what I thought I would have to pay for a ready to
train rideable horse that was young and old enough to start and senseable.

The LSD work starts Sunday. Gota get that fat off him so I can see what his
muscles look like.

Does anyone know much about this breed? They come from Hungary. They were
the light calvary horses.. do dressage jumping 3 day.. and I assume some
Endurance. At least this one will.
I dont know if he willbe fast..but control and a good base is better then
fool run away. I can teach speed.
I guess I have to find a dressage instucture HA in this part of TN? Here's
your sign...

I guess thats enough.. Will let the list know how it goes.. Hope do a NATRC
ride with him this fall.

Roger R -really up now
OMNI - a new begining
FASHA - WHAT? cheater !
