Matthew and Winkie Mackay-Smith rode Moyle horses in the 1964 Tevis Cup Ride
and I think on a couple of occasions after that. I think they may have taken
a couple of them home with them to Virginia at one time.
Some of these horses had a unigue feature...horns. I have actually felt
them or I wouldn't have believed it, but they protruded about 1/2 inch in
the forehead region, covered by hair. This made them items of curiosity at
rides and a lot of Moyle horses had their foreheads scratched as people tried
to feel the horns.
