Well gang I've had my Big Horn Saddle for a few months now and here is what
I think:}

workmanship:
Cheap rivets needed to be replaced for safety reasons right away. Obvious
production line saddle.

comfort for rider:
I love riding in this saddle. I am 5'4" and most western saddles are too
wide for my narrow hips. This saddle is very comfy to me no knee pain at
all, stirrups are in the right position.

fit on my horse:
My guy Jihad is a 14.3 very muscular, very wide arabian. By looking at his
build and size he looks like a Morgan, he was gelded late so looks more like
a stallion. Low withers but not lower then his rear end, meaning he is
higher in the front. The 3 point rigging on the Big Horn Endurance Saddle
does not work at all on his build, it starts to slip forward immediately.
I've used this saddle on 3 other horses and it fit 2 of them well with no
slippage. They were both very tall 16.3 and 15.3 narrow built horses with
high withers. After a two hour ride out on rugged trails no dry spots on
either horse.
The 3rd horse was a small 14.2 light weight arab and he had troubles with it
too. After a 1 hour ride I noticed dry spots behind each should blade high
up by the withers. The horse was VERY difficult to ride also, which is
unusual for this horse.

Maintenance: Easy to keep clean, light weight to throw around.

So that is the scoop. I just hope this saddle fits the tall radiator build
horse that I am buying for my daughter. I don't know if you all remember
but a few months back I posted a message about the neighbor's horse across
the road who toes in slightly up front that I thought I wanted to buy.
Well, looks like its going to happen. We should have Blue by mid Feb:} My
daughter is quite pleased. Anyway, if not I will have to sell it.

Well bye, yak at you all soon!
