Tommy, you are very right about that!! Many people, even those that
know I do endurance, ask me if I just got that horse from an auction or
sale!! I have to explain that they number the butts so the managers can
keep track of which horse is which, but to the average person who has
never been to a ride, it seems odd to use those marks---that's some of my
experience anyway!!

In my job, we are trained to look for ARA's, and hopefully, how to deal
with them should the need arise. Some are very dangerous, many are just
uninformed. They buy into the media hype that the lunatic fringe print.
It's a sad note, however, that many of the lunatic frinze ARA's do not
really care about the animals, only the political pull and public
recognition. ALF <Animal Liberation Front> being key among them.
