Tell me more! I rode a new horse on the OD 50 last year & thought that
the route up at the back of Sherman's Gap was a bit extreme.....

I'd like to hear more. Moving the OD ride a week back would increase
the chances of adverse weather (read worse heat & humidity) with a
concomitant increase in distressed horses. (Especially northern horses
who are coming into the heat for the first time that season.) I would
sincerely hope that they would NOT move the ride back. (Not to mention
I have already started planning my '97 ride schedule with the idea that
the OD falls on it's traditional date.)
